Will Schaedle leads Chartwell Hospitality's development and acquisitions platform, with responsibility for site selection, entitlement, ground-up execution, and pipeline growth. He sets underwriting parameters and investment criteria for new opportunities and directs each project from initial site control through delivery and stabilization, working with the firm's investment, construction, and operations teams to align capital structure, brand positioning, and construction strategy at the outset of every deal.
Will's hospitality development track record spans over 30 hotels, more than 3,500 keys, and in excess of $1.5 billion in total development across eight states, encompassing select-service, extended-stay, full-service, and dual-branded assets under the Marriott and Hilton flags. That execution has earned Hilton's New Build of the Year three times — the Hilton Franklin Cool Springs in 2018, the Conrad Nashville in 2022, and the Hilton BNA at Nashville International Airport in 2024 — across full-service and luxury product and two development cycles. In downtown Kansas City, the dual-branded Courtyard & Residence Inn drew recognition from the Downtown Council of Kansas City for its role in the district's revitalization.
Will is a Partner in both Franklin Construction Group and Chartwell Residential, directing turnkey construction operations across Chartwell's separate business platforms. Chartwell's platform allows for the combination of development, construction, and ownership under common leadership, giving the firm direct control of cost, schedule, and quality. Will's position across all three separate entities keeps those functions aligned from underwriting through delivery.
On the multifamily side, Will leads the construction process for Chartwell Residential's ground-up developments, applying the same execution discipline to the firm's residential product. Working alongside the team at Chartwell Residential, he has contributed to more than 1,600 apartment units delivered across five Middle Tennessee communities — including a 379-unit adaptive-reuse community in Nashville's Marathon Village and a 377-unit community in Metrocenter — as well as 124 build-to-rent cottages and single-family homes.
Will holds a B.S. from the University of Tennessee and is a licensed BC-Unlimited General Contractor in Tennessee, a credential underpinning the construction expertise he brings to every development the firm pursues.
