Since joining Chartwell in 2008, Will has led over $1.0 billion in ground-up development projects throughout the country. Several of Will’s developments are award-winning projects, such as the Hilton in Franklin, TN (2018 Hilton New Build of the Year in the Americas; 2018 ABC Excellence in Construction Award) and the Courtyard and Residence Inn in Kansas City, MO (2017 Capstone Mixed-Use Development of the Year). Will began his professional real estate career as an on-site superintendent and project manager at Chartwell’s in-house construction company and now serves as Chartwell Hospitality's EVP of Development. He leverages his complementary construction and development expertise, to effectively lead Chartwell Hospitality’s development platform. Will also heads up Franklin Construction Group. A key component of Chartwell’s vertically integrated structure, FCG, under Will's leadership constructs many of Chartwell’s residential development projects in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner while adhering to the highest standards of construction quality and practice. Will is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and holds a BC Unlimited Tennessee Contracting License for residential, industrial, and commercial construction. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in hotel, restaurant, and tourism management.
