Mr. Schaedle is the Managing Partner of Chartwell Hospitality and Chartwell Residential (collectively, the “Chartwell Companies). He brings more than 35 years of experience in real estate development, acquisitions, construction, operations, and asset management across Hospitality and Residential.
Over his career, Mr. Schaedle has founded and built three fully integrated real estate development and operating companies. He began his career at Trammell Crow Residential, where he rose to Division Partner and led the development, construction, and management operations of the Tennessee Division, contributing to the development of more than 5,000 apartment units.
In 1991, Mr. Schaedle co-founded Schaedle Worthington Hyde Properties, growing the company into a regional apartment development and operating platform with more than 10,000 apartment units and seven hotels. In 2003, he founded Chartwell Hospitality and expanded the platform from five hotels to a diversified portfolio of more than 40 operating hotels, with additional projects under development, representing assets in excess of $1.2 billion.
In 2018, Mr. Schaedle founded Chartwell Residential, assembling an experienced team to develop, construct, and operate institutional-quality residential assets. The platform currently maintains a development pipeline of approximately $750 million in total project costs.
Mr. Schaedle has received numerous industry awards, including multiple Hilton Brand Development of the Year honors, Multi-Brand and Dual-Brand Developer of the Year awards, and Hilton’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
